Low cost loans available for energy-efficiency improvements!
Vernon township residents (and now, all of Crawford County) qualify for loans of up to $6,000 for 3 yrs. at 5% to buy  Energy StarŪ rated appliances, or for installing more efficient water heaters, insulation, windows, and heating/cooling equipment. The loans are available through the Meadville Community Energy Project (MCEP), and are not based on income.
